I cleaned a home of a lovely couple on Saturday. They complained that their vacuum was broke and had little or no suction. I lent them mine and they were impressed with it ability to clean and pick up dust and its suction. I told them my secret was in the maintenance of the vacuum. Later that weekend I was helping my brother and his roommates move. The one roommate said that the Vacuum was broken. I said I doubt it broken I’m sure it just hasn’t been maintained. I took a few minutes to explain to him how a vacuum needs air flow to work properly and that his problem was isolated to pure air flow. I took off his filters and showed him how to clean them in soap and water. We dried them and plugged the vacuum in to take her for a test drive. It still had little or no suction. We then removed the hose and found that it was clogged tight. Air flow I reminded him. We cleaned out the hose and it was if they had a new vacuum capable of cleaning out the old apartment. This is not the first vacuum I have revived and it won’t be the last. Life has taught me a great deal of things one of which is an “an ounce of prevention saves a pounds of frustration” No matter what you have it pays to take care of it. It easier to maintain things than to fix them. That is the way I do things and it seems to make life go a bit smoother.

Keep Her Clean and She'll do the rest

If you live in Lehi, Saratoga Springs, or Eagle Mountain, you know their can be a lot of dust, and dirt that comes into your home. We have a lot of construction going on, and it can be really windy this can make for some dirty carpet. To protect your carpet I suggest that you don’t wear shoes in the house this cut down on dirt being brought into your home. During peak construction when dust is at its highest keep your window closed. Cover high traffic areas with rugs. Last but not least go ahead an vacuum before the dirt and dust can settle to the bottom of your carpet. Follow these simple suggestions and keep your carpet cleaner.

I get people asking me why is your equipment better. A few things make my system better.

1. I am the owner and the operator, I run on mostly referrals and so I have to each home my best or I do not get more work. I care because it my reputation on the line and I take pride in my work. I have developed skill and pay attention to detail.

2. I use Rotovac because it simply is the best machine out there. Tradition carpet wands only go over the carpet a few time, but with the Rotovac it literally passes over the carpet dozens of times, thus agitating and pulling up more filth from your carpet

3. Length of hose allows for better suction and for better thus reducing dry time. People think that truck mount are the best machines out there. And with a 25′ hose the would be, but when the run a 100′ or even 200′ of hose the loss in suction is significant. With a good portable extractor a cleaner can get carpet its cleanest.

I will let you in on a little secret, I hate cleaning stairs, because it if difficult to do right. At my house generally the stairs get cleaned by my 6 year old boy. I give him all the encouragement I can telling him he is doing a great job. After he is finished and has gone out to play I do it again so its done right. I want him to learn how to do it so that some day I won’t have to. At his age his attention do detail is still developing but I want him to practice doing it and feel like he is contributing. Each time he vacuums the stair he get better and better at it.

We all know why the stair are so difficult there too small to use an upright vacuum. The hose on your upright vacuum is to small to do all of the stair and your vacuum doesn’t exactly fit on the stairs. So how do you do it? Well at our house we have long hose that can easily reach from the top to the bottom of the stairs. If you have a shop-vac you can get a long hose to do this at your house. This makes cleaning the stairs a breeze. The other option is to have two people vacuum the stairs one hold the vacuum and the other take control of the hose. Last but not least you can buy a small hand held vacuum for about $35.00. These little machines make cleaning easy and fun for children.

However you do it just make sure to keep it clean!

I have noticed one of the most worn areas of most homes are the stairs. I asked my self why and with some research I have come to the following conclusion. 1. Since Stairs are difficult to clean the don’t get vacuumed near as much as the rest of the house. 2. When you walk up stairs your feet tend to slide thus grinding the carpet each time you take a step. The Solution to keeping your stairs looking great is to either vacuum them as often as the rest of the house. It helps to have a small vacuum when doing the stair because it can be quite difficult when you are trying to use an upright vacuum. I have seen several people who have put runners down their stairway and this reduced the damage to the carpet dramatically. Runners both protect the carpet from dirt and dust, but also they take the abuse from all that grinding and pounding as feet run up and down the stairs.

A stair runner can protect your stairs.

I have lived most of my life in Utah County, it is a great place to raise a family, work and play in. I have lived in Lehi for the past 5 Years and have loved it. I live on the west side of Lehi near the Jordan River. I enjoy getting to know my neighbors. I cleaned a lovely couples home just south of me near the Jordan River. They were from a different country and had incredible decoration that depicted their home land. There were old photos of treasured memories and distant but not forgotten friends. As I was cleaning up we got a few moment to talk about there children hobbies and life. It is an incredible opportunity to enter your homes and meet you. Some time we don’t get much time to talk but as I clean I can’t help but observe the decorations, pictures and other significant items lying around your homes and I feel as if we have become acquainted. Thanks for letting me into your home.

I have cleaned several homes that have been vacant for sever months. When I have cleaned them I have noticed a trend. They are filled with dust. The last home I did had been vacant for about 9 months. I filled the upright vacuum canister 5 times. I took me about an hour just to vacuum the house so that I could carpet clean it correctly. This leads me to my point, it is critical to vacuum your carpet at least once a week and more often if possible. It is a great idea to get the dirt and dust out of the carpet before it settles to the bottom. Just my tip. Keep it Clean.

As the weeks go by I meet so many great people. The other day I was in Saratoga Springs cleaning a town-home, I had a helper vacuum the home while I set things up. I often start with the dirtiest room and make my way around the house. As I did I noticed my helper going in and out of the house several times to dump the vacuum canister. I continued cleaning and finished the first room or two when the owner came in to check on our work. She asked the carpets were dirty. I responded that they were. She wanted to know how I could tell. I told her the Rotovac has a clear plastic viewing tube where I could observe how the vacuum was cleaning and that the water coming up the tube looked like chocolate milk. I explained that I had gone over the carpets until the water flowing up the tube was clear and clean. She was startled at the difference a good cleaning had made.

I cleaned a home in Highland and the people had put in white carpet and added 4 children to the mix. To say the least it was one of the most difficult jobs. When I finished I looked over my work with pride. The family was elated to see there beautiful white carpet again.

I love coming to your homes thanks for your business The Carpet Cleaners

People are always telling me, “your vacuum is amazing where did you get you it?” I have the cheapest Wal-Mart vacuum money can buy. I spent about $50.00. The key is that I have two sets of filters, which I alternate. I clean the filters after every other home. When my filters are clean the suction is at its peak and I am able to pick up more dirt, lint, and dust than most people’s vacuums. Another trick is to set your height for your specific carpet type. With these two things you will be better to clean your home.
